2026 Scholarship Application

Congratulations on taking steps towards furthering your education!

Hoffman Car Wash is excited to be able to provide these scholarship awards to our employees to invest in their futures. The total scholarship award of $1,500 is paid as one lump sum at the beginning of the school year in a check mailed to the school.

Please take the time to read through the below information before submitting your application.

Who qualifies for the scholarship?

• Employees must be enrolled or planning to enroll in full-time or part-time (minimum 6 credit hours per semester) undergraduate study at an accredited 2 or 4 year College/University, including online study at accredited institutions or study at an accredited trade school.
• Six months of service with the company and a minimum of 312 hours of time worked in the six months (average 12 hours per week) prior to the application deadline date.
• Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA (77% average grade) to apply.
• To be eligible for payment, employees must continue to work through the summer until they leave for school (typically no earlier than August 1st) and can then go on an educational leave of absence if necessary.

Before you start, please make sure you have your high school or college transcripts and your completed essay ready to upload.

Essay
Essays should be saved as a Word file or PDF and uploaded when you fill out your application. Essays should be no more than 300 words. Choose one essay topic from the list below to write about.

Essay Topic

• Dependability goes beyond punctuality. What does being a dependable employee mean to you? Describe specific actions you have taken to demonstrate reliability in the workplace.
• Working at a car wash is often fast-paced and customer-focused, which can sometimes be challenging. Describe a time when you showed kindness to a customer or coworker during a difficult situation. What did you do, and what was the outcome?
