Fighting For A Cure

Breakthrough T1D

Described as “the leading global organization funding T1D research,” Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is a type 1 diabetes advocacy organization funding research for the development of new therapies and treatments for type 1 diabetes. The organization advocates for federal research funding toward new technologies and treatments and works with regulatory and policy officials to disburse funds. Breakthrough T1D also has partnerships with academia, industry, and clinicians to accelerate research into potential cures for T1D.

Providing Hope & Compassion

IPH

IPH is a leader in providing services to unhoused and at-risk individuals and families, many of whom have complex mental health, substance use, and other health challenges. IPH staff provide caring, compassionate, and person-centered care that meets each person’s unique needs and helps them reach their goals. IPH operates five year-round and seasonal shelters, a housing program, and Community Connections which includes a day-time drop-in resource center, health and wellness services, and an employment program.

Kelly's Angels

Kelly’s Angels is a charitable organization that provides grants to benefit children in the Capital Region of New York State whose lives have been forever changed by the loss of a parent or sibling to cancer or other illness. Kelly’s Angels Incorporated, was conceived by WNYT-TV anchor/reporter Mark Mulholland in memory of his late wife, Kelly, who lost her battle with cancer in 2007 at the age of 37. The late Kelly Mulholland was a beloved wife, mother, and school teacher. Kelly’s legacy of kindness and her passion for helping children continue to inspire our efforts.

Ronald McDonald House of Albany

Ronald McDonald House of Albany provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare. Programs, which include the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and Ronald McDonald Family Retreat at Krantz Cottage, focus on the critical needs of children and their families. They help those facing serious health challenges stay close to each other and the care they need, and we bring quality health care resources to areas where they are needed most.
Empowering Seniors To Maintain Independence

Saratoga Senior Center

The Saratoga Senior Center is a non-profit, non-residential community center. Since 1955 the mission of the Saratoga Senior Center is to empower seniors to achieve and maintain personal independence and individual well-being by providing the program structure and support services necessary for healthy recreation, companionship, social involvement, and problem solving. Those striving to maintain an independent lifestyle can make new friends, share in a meal, play a game, exercise, take a class or learn a new skill.
